Paper Technology Foundation scholarships are offered over four years. The award for the first-year introductory (fall) semester is $1,000. WMU and PTF scholarships are awarded based on the transcript GPA at the time of admission.
3.85 GPA Award: $10,000 ($2,500/year)
3.60 GPA Award: $9,000 ($2,250/year)
3.30 GPA Award: $8,000 ($2,000/year)
3.00 GPA Award: $6,000 ($1,500/year)
PTF will provide 40 scholarships annually to first-year/transfer qualified* applicants on a first-come, first-served basis.
*Qualified=admitted with a declared pre-paper-engineering major and the ability to be placed in Paper 1000 (verified math eligibility).
Renewal Terms and Conditions:
- Full-time enrollment as a paper engineering primary major (reviewed each semester)
- Overall 3.0 GPA or higher (reviewed at the end of each academic year)
- Satisfy engagement activity requirements (reviewed each semester)
- Industry placement (internship or co-op) is required to be eligible for a 4th year scholarship
- Citizen of Canada or the United States
PTF scholarships are offered over five years (on average, students graduate in five years for a 135-credit hour program.) Year five scholarship funds are offered only if a co-op experience is completed. The award for the first-year introductory (fall) semester is $1,000. - Maintain a GPA of 2.7 or higher (reviewed at the end of each academic year)
- Take at least one, three-credit PAPR course each semester
- Full-time enrollment as a Paper Engineering major (reviewed each semester)
- Citizen of Canada or the United States
- Satisfy engagement activity requirements (reviewed each semester)
PTF offers a $2,000 non-resident scholarship for the first year of enrollment as a new, non-transfer student.
