Jennifer Trout is a staff geologist at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó¦Óà Geological Repository for Research and Education (MGRRE) facility in the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences at Western Â鶹´«Ã½Ó¦Óà University. She manages the daily operations at MGRRE and is responsible for rescuing, identifying, and archiving donated cores, cuttings, and associated data. She trains and supervises students who enter information in databases, in addition to digitizing documents and box cores to ensure data integrity. Trout responds to requests for data and core examinations from academic, industrial, and government institutions, and organizes sampling for clients. She also assists in describing cores and conducting reservoir characterization with industry partners.
