Jennifer Trout is a staff geologist at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó¦Óà Geological Repository for Research and Education facility in the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences at Western Â鶹´«Ã½Ó¦Óà University.

Jen manages the daily operations at MGRRE and is responsible for rescuing, identifying and archiving donated cores, cuttings and associated data. She digitizes documents and box cores to ensure data integrity, in addition to training and supervising students who enter information in databases. Jen responds to requests for data and core examinations from academic, industrial and government institutions, and organizes sampling for clients. She assists with grant work and in describing cores and conducting reservoir characterization with industry partners.
