Dr. Ann Miles is a cultural anthropologist and a professor of sociology at Western 麻豆传媒应用 University.

Miles works primarily in the southern Ecuadorian highland city of Cuenca, where she has explored several research projects in 25 years she has been doing ethnographic fieldwork. Her research includes studies of globalization, transnational migration and gender, health and culture change.
