TLES aluma chosen for behind-the-scenes experience at C-SPAN

College of Education and Human Development alumna, Katy (Myall) Johnson, recently attended C-SPAN鈥檚 Summer Educators Conference in Washington, D.C., and was one of only 30 educators chosen for a behind-the-scenes experience at the network. She was interviewed by Brian Lamb, chairman and founder of the network, and her lesson on Richard Nixon and his evolution as a candidate from 1960-1968 will be made public on the  for use nationwide.

Johnson received her Bachelor of Arts in History: Secondary Education in 2000 and was named a Presidential Scholar during her time at WMU. Johnson currently teaches social studies in New Jersey at Morris Knolls High School. She has also taught in Delaware at Thomas McKean High School and St. Georges Technical High School, and in 麻豆传媒应用 at Walled Lake Western High School.
