Western Â鶹´«Ã½Ó¦Óà University contracted with GeoBlue as its exclusive health insurance provider for international students, effective in the fall of 2024. GeoBlue allows you to so that you can be fully covered during your stay in the United States. 

GeoBlue offers a single, comprehensive plan designed to meet your health care needs, regardless of age or preexisting conditions. This means GeoBlue cannot deny coverage or increase your premiums based on any health issues you had before enrolling in their plan. GeoBlue also meets coverage requirements established by the U.S. Department of State for exchange visitors and international students on J-1 or J-2 visas. 

All international students are required to have health insurance by the first week of class. Failure to purchase health insurance will result in a HOLD on your account. This could prevent you from obtaining transcripts, diplomas or registering for future classes, which may result in an immigration violation.
