Tutoring
The Department of Mathematics offers tutoring support for multiple undergraduate courses in person.
Although the department tutoring is not part of the Bronco Study Zone (BSZ), it is housed inside the BSZ which is located at 3374 Rood Hall. The mathematics tutoring lab is the first door on the left. The courses in which walk-in assistance is offered are:
- Developmental math courses: Math 1090, 1100, 1110
- Pre-calculus and calculus courses: Math 1180, 1220/1700, 1230/1710, 2000, 2300, 2720, 3740
This tutor lab offers one-on-one and group tutoring plus computers on-site to give you hands-on help with on-line homework. The tutors will not do your homework for you. Instead they will ask you how you approached the problem and where you started having difficulty. This way they are following your thought process rather than forcing their method on you.
The lab typically opens the second week of classes. Contact your instructor for the exact day the tutor lab will begin for the semester. The lab is not open the week of final exams.

Room 2227
The and tutor lab is located at 2227 Rood Hall and offers drop-in tutoring to give you hands-on help with the course homework. The lab is staffed by course tutors, SI leaders, and graduate assistants who teach the course, so they know first-hand what material is being covered. The tutors will not do your homework for you. Instead, they will work with you to find out where you are stuck and how they can best help you to move forward from there. This approach will help support you as you strengthen your problem-solving skills. (Tutoring schedule in revision).
