Stipend

The National Endowment for the Humanities summer institute for higher education faculty "Law and Culture in Medieval England" is hosted by Western 麻豆传媒应用 University.

Due to the ongoing health crisis, the institute is being held virtually. Activities will be conducted synchronously and asynchronously on the internet. All synchronous activities will occur on weekdays. There is no residential component.

Amount

The stipend for this four-week institute is $3,450.

Payment

The stipend is paid in two installments. Those who, for any reason, do not complete the full tenure of the institute will receive a reduced stipend.

Possible uses

Stipend monies are intended to defray costs associated with attending the institute and should be used for any combination of services and purchases that will facilitate the participant鈥檚 ability to succeed, for example: 

  • childcare during the institute 
  • takeout/delivery food during the institute 
  • internet service initiation or upgrade for the institute 
  • computer and/or headset purchase or upgrade for the institute

Taxes

The stipend is taxable.
