Western Â鶹´«Ã½Ó¦Óà University is a learner-centered, research university, building intellectual inquiry and discovery into undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs in a way that fosters knowledge and innovation and transforms wisdom into action. As a public university, WMU provides leadership in teaching, research, learning, and service, and is committed to enhancing the future of our global citizenry.

This is in part WMU's mission and vision. Because of these values, all individuals are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and civil manner in the University setting as well as in the community. Responsibility for fulfilling the obligations of the code of honor is shared by the students, faculty and every other member of the University community. These values include:

  • Academic honesty
  • Ethical conduct
  • Fairness
