Collaboration Partners
Fostering attractive, viable communities through innovative and context-sensitive transportation solutions will require transportation researchers to actively engage with one another and with partners external to the university in order to identify, frame and address transportation problems from a variety of cultural viewpoints. Indeed, the research, workforce development and education objectives the Center hopes to achieve will require multiple forms of collaboration, including:
- interdisciplinary coordination across consortium universities and departments;
- inter-sectoral partnerships with public agencies and community practitioners; and
- alliances with industry and interest groups.
Through these collaborative processes, our research will achieve greater contextual validity and public support as we address important issues neglected in the scientific literatures. Our primary collaborative goal is: to develop capacities to identify, cultivate and sustain inter-disciplinary and inter-sectoral partnerships in order to meaningfully frame and address transportation problems that stifle the development of livable communities.
Listed below are the public agencies, industry and interest groups that are actively supporting the Center by:
- reviewing research proposals;
- identifying transportation problems and/or research opportunities;
- actively participating in the Center鈥檚 seminar series;
- providing research funding and/or other financial support; and/or
- engaging in collaborative research.
